January Fun

Happy New Year!

I’m starting the year by getting excited about what makes me happy: performing in and producing shows! Here’s a look at my January.

Teen Angst Facebook Event

Tuesday, January 13
TEEN ANGST NIGHT
8-10 PM | $10 at the door (sliding scale available)
Cottage Bistro, 4468 Main Street
Facebook Event
I’ve been running this show where people share their old embarrassing teenage angst creations since 2000. Several brave souls will get up on stage and read from their diaries, poetry books, short stories and more.

Say Wha Emerald 2015
Tuesday, January 20
SAY WHA?! READINGS OF DELICIOUSLY ROTTEN WRITING
8-10 PM | $10 in advance (possible door sales)
The Emerald, 555 Gore
Facebook Event
Another classic show I’ve been running since 2010. Funny people reading from the worst published books they can find.

Novelty Act FacebookTuesday, January 27
NOVELTY ACT presented by Bynoe and Hahn
8-10 PM | $8 in advance $10 at the door

What is this all about?
Lots of things.
Sara Bynoe and Riel Hahn present a night of comedy, storytelling, and joy.
Why novelty act? Well… sometimes women in comedy get referred to as a ‘novelty act.’ Bynoe and Hahn think that’s bullshit, so they got together and have decided to do a night of whatever they want to do and if that’s a novelty act, so be it!
It’s Sara Bynoe and Riel Hahn on stage. And you! That’s it. That’s plenty!
Whatever this night is, we guarantee it will be fun! And we’ll probably wear lipstick.
Facebook Event

Saturday and Sunday, January 24, 25
LE GRAND CONTINENTAL
PuSH Festival | Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza
1 & 4 PM Rain or Shine | Free Event
If you’ve followed me for a while you know that I’ve been involved with the PuSh Festival for the last 5 years. This year I am dancing in this performance along with 80 or so other Vancouverites who love to dance. If you want to see me in all my glory (or catch my mess ups) I’m positioned at the corner near Cambie and Georgia.

Don’t live in Vancouver?
That’s okay, you can experience the joy of Say Wha?! through the magic of podcasting. Click here for links to iTunes or streaming audio.
