Did This Book Bring You Here?

Since I read Fifty Shades of Grey at my comedy show Say Wha?! Readings of Deliciously Rotten Writing in March I have been getting a lot of traffic on my website due to 50 Shades of search engine terms.  So, I decided to put them all in one easy place. After “50 shades of Grey synopsis/ plot summary/ worst book ever,” here are the most popular/ bizarre search terms that brought people to my website.

Search Engine Terms / Queries

  •  What kind of tea does Anastasia Steele drink?

English Breakfast- black and weak. Tea is mentioned 35 times in book one.

  • What car does Christian Grey buy his subs?

 This one:  Audi A3

  •  Christian Grey Converse

I don’t know why people are Googling that, he does wear converse shoes. If you’re asking why, it’s because you read it too. There are no further answers. Yes, it’s an odd fashion choice for a man that makes 100 million dollars an hour. My hunch is that the author associates those shoes with the Seattle due to the Grunge era, or perhaps she finds them a sexy contrast to his ‘Red Room of Pain’ dominant persona.

  • What page is the boathouse scene in 50 Shades

I’m not going to tell you. It’s called an ebook, and it has a search function. Figure it out.

  • 50 Shades of Grey Tampon Scene

This is Anastasia Steele’s Say Wha?! moment:

He reaches between my legs and pulls on the blue string – what?!- and gently pulls my tampon out and tosses it into the nearby toilet. Holy Fuck. Sweet mother of all… Jeez. And then he’s inside me … ah!

If that wasn’t enough for you, here’s my spoiler blog post of 50 Shades of Grey plot summary.
