According to the stats I keep, the January Teen Angst Night show is usually the best attended and most fun for me to host.
I think it’s because everyone is feeling both nostalgic and angsty from spending the holidays with their families. Maybe they spent time in the bedroom they spent their teenage years. Some people are privileged enough that their room looks exactly as it did when they moved out. All of that means that audiences and readers are sooo ready to share their embarrassing and melodramatic readings to a loving and supportive crowd.
