Since I do so much shameless self promotion on this site I think it’s time I gave back. Every now and them I’m going to do some event listings of awesome, fun and inspiring events happening in one of my favorite cities in the world. Here’s my first installment.

ANZABONANZA! A Pub Quiz

During my year in London I discovered the fun that is the Pub Quiz. Here’s one I might stand a chance at winning.

It happens on the last Friday of every month. That means there’s one Friday August 27!
Where: Anza Club  – 8th Ave @ Ontario, Vancouver
When: 7:30 pm
How much: Ten smackers per team – Five playas max per team

The Flame

This is a live storytelling event where real people (often theatre people) share their personal true stories in front of a live audience.

Producers Joel Wirkkunen and Deb Williams were inspired by similar storytelling events that have been popping up all over North America: you know, The Moth, Risk, etc.

Where: The Cottage Bistro-4470 Main Street

When: The next one is Wednesday September 1. Show @ 7 pm

Talent Time

TALENT TIME is a live monthly Comedy/Variety/Chat show that is now a cable access TV program! Featuring the country’s greatest comedians sprinkled with Skits and Novelty Acts. Past and future guests include: Comic Hypnotists, Celebrity Impersonators, Airbands, Drag Queens , Magicians, Laughing Meditation demonstrations and Tribute Bands.

Next show: Wednesday September 1

Where: The Biltmore Cabaret, 2755 Prince Edward
