Say Wha?! TV Show

Sunday night I’m flipping through the channels half talking to my roomie and half paying attention to the images on the screen when I come across some twi-hard show with women in their 30s wearing chola eyebrows.

My roomie and I start improvising the dialogue with the TV on mute – as we all do. After ten minutes or so we decided to turn the sound on to hear what’s actually going on and compare our brilliant script to the real one.

We were not far off. However, in my wildest dreams I could never have made up a plot/ pilot/ script as bad as this.

The show is called Lost Girl and it’s a Canadian made series for Showcase – aka the softcore porn channel. Lost Girl? Sorry, but I highly doubt this actress/ character is anything younger than 33. But whatevs, ‘girl’ makes is seem much sexier than ‘lost woman who’s too old to pull off a goth look.’

This is the SAY WHA?! Plot from Wikipedia:

The series focuses on Bo, a bisexual succubus, who grew up in an adopted human family, unaware of her non-human nature and of the “Fae” world. A succubus is a female Fae (supernatural being) that feeds on sexual energy, with fatal results for humans if the succubus has not learned how to control their powers. Bo’s succubus powers only became apparent to her when she killed her first love, forcing her to flee her home. Bo left her previously normal life for one without family or friends, moving from place to place whenever she kills again.

Season one follows Bo’s navigation of the Fae world, control over her powers, and her developing romantic relationships with Dyson, a werewolf police detective, and Lauren, a human doctor. Bo also searches for her origins – her biological mother and the reason she was abandoned.

WTF?! I just might have to find the pilot script to read for the next Say Wha?! Oooh I hope they have a holiday episode!
