Literary Death Match

About a year and a half ago I had the good fortune of living in London and seeing some pretty inspiring literary events. One of them was Literary Death Match.

Now that I’ve been back in Vancouver for seven months, I have the incredible good luck to be participating in the Canadian premier of the show! Seriously I’m not worthy to be amongst the LDM alumni which include Michelle Tea, Tim Clare, Taylor Mali, Tao Lin and Moby (oh wait he was a judge).

OMFG!!! Why did I have to go and look that all up? I’m not worthy! I’m working on my first novel which no one but my MA class, professors and a few friends have seen and I host bad literary nights. Eeep! Or as Tao Lin might say Eee Eeee Eee!

Literary Death Match is a competitive, hilarious reading series created by Todd Zuniga. On Friday, October 8th at the W2 Storyeum (151 West Cordova) writers Nikki Reimer, Charlie Demers, Steve Burgess and little old me will battle each other in front of a panel of judges –  Talent Time host Paul Anthony, actor and comedienne Diana Frances, and Bob Kronbauer.

Doors open at 7 pm and you tickets are $10 at the door.

Please come out and support me. I really need your support. Really.
