In 10 days I’ll be in Seattle for Bumbershoot. I’m getting quite excited! I did a contest for the worst Teen Angst Poetry and had over 130 wonderfully bad entries, it was a very difficult decision to make but I think I found a great winner.
Bumbershoot is an annual international music and arts festival held in Seattle, Washington. One of North America’s largest such festivals and has been running since Aug 1971. (I wasn’t even born yet!)
Here’s the info on when I’m performing:
Saturday, August 30 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Leo K. Theatre
A leader of the “mortification” movement, Sara Bynoe started Teen Angst Poetry in 2000. Initially a website of the world’s most heartsick and tormented verse, the theme is the subject of Bynoe’s new solo show, F**k Off and Die: Tales in Teen Angst Poetry. Part stand-up comedy, part poetry reading, and part verbatim theatre, F**k Off and Die is a sincere, yet hilarious, valentine for every lonely, angry and misunderstood teenager that ever lived.

I was there and it was fantastic!! The funniest performance I saw all day for sure. Loved the random tap dancing, it brought back many of my own teen angst memories.
